This year Graham has been invited to be one of the patron artists of Same Sky’s Burning of the Clocks. So what on earth is ‘Burning the Clocks’? Burning the Clocks was created in the city of Brighton in 1994 as a way to celebrate the festive season regardless of faith or creed. The event run by Same Sky begins with the family lantern procession through the city. After carrying the lanterns through the city in the parade they are passed into a fire on Brighton beach, as a token of the year’s end. Then a dazzling fire show is set in motion, in which a massive fire sculpture is ignited, live music plays, and fireworks light up the sky!
This weekend (14th-15th Sept) you can pop along to Hove Lawns to the amazing Children’s Food Festival where there will be a chance to print your own screenprint from designs from 6 artists (myself included).

Hello everyone. We are auctioning off a print i made recently as a thank you to everyone who helped me build Sid The Yeti during the Brighton Festival to celebrate the Children’s Parade in May. You may have seen him feature in my exhibition at Ink-d Gallery too! This print will never be put up for sale anywhere as the rest in the edition are all gifts, so please bid here for a great cause: The British Heart Foundation, and the chance to own your own Sid Print ‘March of the Mayfly’. He was with us for a very short time but he shone brightly!
This Christmas at Boxbird we are fundraising for The British Heart Foundation in memory of a good friend of the gallery. So join us for some festive fun at Boxbird on Friday 30th November from 7pm, enjoy a glass of Barefoot wine and take part in our amazing raffle full of prizes from lots of our artists!
For further information please visit our events page and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
Massive thanks to all the folk at Traffic. Especially Steve, for all the long hours and constant pesterings from a very particular artist. Have a good look around. Was fun digging around some ooooold work! A lot of it didnt make the cut (i’m too embarrassed). Only took me 3 years to sort it out
Its taken a while due to Carter Faffery (a distant cousin) – but its nearly here….. Will go live this week so please check back soon. A big thanks to the amazing Traffic for the technical wizardry! I’m very excited.
After a lengthy absence due to a little tiny man, we are now officially open for viewings on Mon-Wed (best to phone in advance but usually someone will be around). Find out more here.
Just finishing up a few last minute touches to my third solo show at Ink-d Gallery. It’s pretty much taken up my life for the last year so i hope it shows! ‘Me,Marionette‘ runs from May 4th (Damn why didn’t i do any Star Wars pieces!) to 3rd June so i hope to see you there.
Some small recent limited edition prints available through Boxbird, along with a set of laser-etched characters i’m rather fond of (Which character would you be in the ‘Bough Brood’?)
Helping you see in the dark.....
My new show ‘Air Tales’ is now open to the public until the 27th Sept. There are some brand new prints based around the theme of flight, as well as some new original drawings. It’s also a good excuse to visit the lovely town of Bath……
I’ve been away for a little while! I put this down to a particularly horrific Zombie attack i suffered at the end of june (that, and getting married). I have however produced this piece of work for the ‘Crazy4Cult’ Exhibition in Los Angeles based on the Rom-Zom-Com movie Shaun of the Dead, featuring a little bit of foil-blocking detail in the blood splatter! Giclee Edition of 10.
Giclee Print with Foil Blocking Detail. Edition of 10
Remember folks: Remove the head or destroy the brain…….it’s the only way!
A huge charity auction is taking place this weekend. I have donated 4 Giclee prints, including the last available complete set of my Giant Series and the original sketches that inspired them…..more info here. You might be able to grab yourself a bargain!
Along with 23 other artists i am taking part in the ‘Life in 2050’ Exhibition near Charring Cross Station, London. So if you are down that way why not pop in and take a peak into the future! Turns out we DO need roads where we’re going…..
I have a few new hybrid prints available at the forthcoming Affordable Art Fair at Battersea, London (We’ll be there as Boxbird Gallery from March 11th – 14th. Come say hello).
Wandering Marionnette is based on an amazing puppetry effort by the Royal De Luxe theatre company which blew me away. Early Bird is a secret diner located high in the tree-tops. It’s location is known only to the mini-pilots of the mechanical birds and it’s muffins are to die for.
‘Early Bird’ – Giclee/Silkscreen hybrid print. 80cm x 41cm. Edition of 80
‘Wandering Marionnette’ – Giclee/Silkscreen Hybrid Print. 58cm x 41cm. Edition of 40
…honestly i do. It’s the last week of the valentine themed ‘I Love You’ Exhibition at the Hop Gallery, Lewes. All proceeds go to a worthy cause (Children’s Heart Charities) and the artist line up is impressive to boot, including the likes of Sanna Annukka, Jonny Hannah and Rob Ryan! (i’ll be making an appearance too).
On until Feb 14th.
here are some new prints hot off the press from a marathon couple of weekends screenprinting
with a little help from my assistant, the lovely Alice…..! More details at Boxbird.
Ink-d Gallery have asked various artists (myself included) to provide them with ‘clear out’ items that have been lingering around the studio for a while. You might find yourself a bargain there. I’ve given them some first editions and originals, as well as some of my favourite pieces from a few years ago that i forgot i even had! (20 % off too)
Hot off the presses – my new print ‘Lady Leaf Kicker’. When they’re not collecting berries from the trees there’s nothing more they like than to ‘HOOF’ up carefully raked leaf piles by the roadside…….
Available to purchase though boxbird.co.uk
I’ve finally got my A**e in gear and designed a t-shirt for Howies…..My design ‘Octobrella’ is available in store at Howies, London or online at Teepay.com
If you’re out and about in swingin’ Carnaby St, London in the next month or so please checkout my work at Howies. The lovely people there have kindly offered me a space on their staircase wall to show some current work – as well as printing up my first T-Shirt Design! (which i have a feeling i’m going to get into…). Runs from 14th Nov – 14th Dec.
It’s that time again! I’ve had a 2-year cooling off period but decided to re-visit the Brighton Art Fair (Oct 1st – 4th) along with our other artists at Boxbird. Look out for us at stand 16 near the refreshments – grab a bun and come say hello….!
The good folk at INFECTIOUS.COM have kindly put my poladroid on a range of skins available for iphones and laptops etc……

I am currently taking part in a group show entitled ‘Made in Brighton‘ along with a bunch of illustrious local artists who have also had solo shows at Ink-d Gallery in the last few years…..
One image per artist – no bigger than 30cm x 30cm, an edition of 25 and all £75.
My piece , Bobby Play (silkscreen on japanese plywood) is based on 2 little gay (or just good friends) policemen characters. I had planned to use these little guys years ago but then that pesky Banksy character came up with a similar idea…..
I will be taking part in the Decked Project from 25th – 30th August at the Stolen Space Gallery, Brick Lane, London.
A collection of 50 street artists/illustrators/designers/tattooists each designing their own skate deck, and here is my end result………As you can see, my cat found it quite hypnotic watching me work on it! Even tried to grab the brushes a few times – another budding artist in the family?? (No. Because it’s a cat – they can’t draw)
A homage to men in pyjamas with big bats and silly names. Available as a set of 4, silkscreen on japanese ply – at Coningsby gallery show 1st – 12th Sept…..
They may be tokyo based, but the Zilla Inc. like to wander – and cause chaos in their wake. If you see a glowing beacon looming over the horizon it’s probably best to get yourself in to some kind of underground bunker. The only respite is when they pause briefly for the nightshift workers to take over……. (See the full image at EAST MEETS WEST, solo exhibition at coningsby gallery London from Sept 1st to 12th)

Shhhhhhh…….Here is a sneak peak of new work for my forthcoming show. They’re only details so you’ll have to come and see them in the flesh to get the full effect
You probably won’t be hearing many peeps from me in next few weeks as i am locked in my workshop beavering away for my next upcoming show at Coningsby Gallery. I have a few mechanical helpers but they are fairly old models and need constant maintenance themselves……… Watch this space for sneak peeks of the new stuff.
The myths about giant creatures, disguised as man-made or natural objects, roaming the lands – have turned out to be true!
Boots screwed up my camera film with the evidence – but luckily i have been able to create an ‘artist’s impression’…….
These prints will soon be available at Art Republic, Brighton.
We just heard today that our Cinemascope show for the Brighton Fringe Festival has just won ‘Best Show of the Fringe’!! Needless to say we are delighted (and we must say a monster-sized ‘thank you’ to everyone who voted for us – and of course to the artists who took part in the exhibition. Already thinking about next years theme……
Hello all. I have a spanking new shiny website on the way…….
In the mean time you’ll have to cope with this holding page where i’ll be keeping you up to date with my work and projects. All work is available from boxbird. Currently i am involved in Cinemascope which is ongoing until 31st May – so hurry down there if you wanna see it…..
A big thanks to Steve (stephenelford.com) for putting this page together so quickly. He really is the Gandalf of web scripting.
